Study shows women don’t regret embryo testing before IVF

A new study from Northwestern University attempts to answer the question “Do women regret embryo testing before IVF?”  According to Dr. Daniel A. Skora, “This study confirms suspicions of doctors who regularly recommend PGT-A testing. I recommend genetic testing of embryos in women over the age of 35 as it provides the patient and the embryologist with information that can help with decision making. In patients who are above 40, implanting an abnormal embryo can lead to an important delay in treatment for months.”  He concludes, “In the end, it provides patients with the tools to make their own decisions about their care while avoiding the heartbreak of a miscarriage.”
